Rejoice

What is Advent?

The word “Advent” is derived from the Latin word adventus, meaning coming–the arrival of a notable person, thing, or event. For Christians, Advent is about the coming or second coming of Christ.

In our 2023 Advent sermon series, Rejoice, we see that Christ represents the ultimate fulfillment of God's eternal and unbreakable covenant. In our exploration of Matthew 1 and 2, we will delve into the profound significance of God as a faithful covenant keeper, and how this truth should evoke profound rejoicing among believers.

The season culminates in an experience we all look forward to—our joyful Christmas Eve candlelight services on December 24. We hope you will make plans to join us and invite a friend!
